Description:

Rifampicin is an anzamycin antibiotic and is active against mycobacteria of tuberculosis and leprosy, affects gram-positive (especially staphylococci) and gram-negative (meningococci, gonococci) cocci. Rifampicin, used in combination with other active anti-tuberculosis drugs, is considered as a first-line anti-tuberculosis drug to treat all forms of infections caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, including fresh, advanced, chronic and drug-resistant cases.
