Description:

The presence of sulbactam in an injectable antibacterial combination Ampicillin + Sulbactam effectively extends the antibacterial spectrum of ampicillin to include many bacteria normally resistant to ampicillin, amoxicillin, cephalosporins, and aminoglycosides. Ampicillin + Sulbactam has proven efficacy in pneumonia, lung abscesses, pleural empyema, urinary tract infections, post-partum and gynecological infections, intra-abdominal and biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissues infections, scarlet fever and gonococcal infection. Ampicillin + Sulbactam is the agent of choice for perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis of infectious complications in abdominal and gynecological surgeries, in traumatology and orthopaedics, urology and oncology.
