Description:

AmoxicillinClavulanic acid is a parenteral antibacterial combination consisting of amoxicillin and the beta-lactamase inhibitor, clavulanate potassium. It has a significantly wider spectrum than amoxicillin, which covers beta-lactamase and non-beta-lactamase producing strains of gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid is widely used to treat community-acquired and some forms of nosocomial infections of various localizations. It is the agent of choice for perioperative prophylaxis of infectious complications in coloproctology, abdominal surgery, urology, gynecology, oncology, traumatology.
