Description:

Hydroxyethyl starch 200 in 0.9% sodium chloride is a colloidal plasma substitute, containing 10% of hydroxyethyl starch (HES) with a molecular weight of 200 kD (HES 200 kD). It is the agent of choice for stabilization of systemic hemodynamics in various types of shock (hemorrhagic, septic etc.), burns, surgery or other trauma. It is a first aid drug in the case of massive blood loss (including intraoperative).
