Description:

Mannit is an obligatory osmotic diuretic. It is a drug for pathogenetic therapy of cerebral edema; intra-cranial hypertension of various genesis; oliguria in acute renal and/or hepatic insufficiency; elevated intraocular pressure (especially when other antiglaucoma drugs are ineffective); post-transfusion complications after use of incompatible blood. It is also used for forced diuresis in intoxications of various etiology.
