Description:
An aminoglycoside antibiotic of the third (III) generation with of activity against a broad spectrum Gram-negative organisms including Enterobacteriaceae and non-fermenting Gram-negative bacteria. Amikacin is a typical “hospital” antibiotic, widely used in clinics. It is intended to treat severe systemic bacterial infection of different localization. Amikacin is included in the therapy of tuberculosis, caused by multidrug resistant pathogens.
