Ringer's Solution for Infusion is an aqueous solution of calcium chloride, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride that provides a medium essentially isotonic to many human tissues and is used topically to irrigate tissues or intravenously to replenish fluids and electrolytes. Unlike physiological solution, Ringer's solution is composed of a relatively balanced mixture of the most important electrolytes and is highly needed in units with “intensive parenteral burden”.
